1. दक्ष्णि अफ्रीका के जंगलों में आज भी घोड़े बहुत बड़े झुँड़ो में पाए जाते हैं। एक झुंड में एक नर और कई मादाएँ रहती है।

7. आम तौर पर घोड़ो का जीवन काल 25 से 30 वर्ष का होता है। परन्तु इंग्लैंड में 1760 में जन्मा एक घोड़ा 62 साल तक जिंदा रहा। उसकी मृत्यु 27 नवंम्बर 1822 को हुई। इस घोड़े को ‘Old Billy’ नाम दिया गया। घोड़े के 62 साल मनुष्य के 173 साल के बराबर होते हैं।

Horses generally have a life span of 25 to 30 years. But a horse born in England in 1760 lived for 62 years. He died on 27 November 1822. This horse was named 'Old Billy'. 62 years of a horse is equal to 173 years of a human.

8. यदि आप किसी घोड़े की लंम्बाई मापना चाहते है तो जमीन से लेकर उसके स्कन्ध भाग तक की लंम्बाई देखनी होगी। यदि सिर से मापेंगे तो वह अलग – अलग समय में अलग – अलग आएगी।

If you want to measure the length of a horse, then you have to see the length from the ground to its withers. If we measure from the head, it will come differently at different times.

9. घोड़े का पहला साल मनुष्य के 12 साल के बराबर होता है, दुसरा साल 7 साल के बराबर, तीसरा साल 4 साल के बराबर और बाकी के 2.5 – 2.5 साल के बराबर होते हैं।

19. नर घोड़ो में मादा घोड़ो से ज्यादा दाँत होते हैं। नर में औसतन 40 और मादा में औसतन 36 दाँत होते हैं।

Male horses have more teeth than female horses. Males have an average of 40 teeth and females have an average of 36 teeth.

20. घोड़े केवल नाक से साँस ले सकते हैं। मनुष्यों की तरह मुँह से नही।

Horses can only breathe through their nose. Not with the mouth like humans.

21. ऑस्ट्रेलिया में 1788 से पहले एक भी घोड़ा नही था। इसके बाद उपनवेशी इस देश में घोड़ा लेकर गए। ऑस्ट्रेलिया में घोड़े का कोई कंकाल भी नही मिला है।

There was not a single horse in Australia before 1788. After this the colonists took the horse to this country. No skeleton of a horse has been found in Australia.
